Rice County Mental Health Collective Internship

About Rice County Mental Health Collective Internship

The Rice County Mental Health Collective is looking for a summer intern looking to gain hands on experience in the mental health field!

 Rice County Mental Health Collective

The Rice County Mental Health Collective is a coalition of community members who came together in early 2011 to address challenges in the mental health care system in Rice County. From this initial meeting, the Collective was formed with a mission to shift the system of mental health care in Rice County from a primarily medical model to a public health model. The group focuses its work on mental health promotion and prevention interventions in addition to projects to expand and improve treatment and care. Historically, the Collective has been made up of four Working Groups—Prevention, Promotion, Care, and Crisis—that met individually on a monthly basis. However, the Collective is evolving and the structure may change this spring. The Collective is overseen by a steering committee, responsible for budgetary decisions and overall direction.
