For Faculty & Staff
The CCCE and Your Scholarship
The Public Scholarship program aims to help foster conversations about public scholarship across campus, provide resources and support for faculty engaged in public scholarship, and raise the profile of the exciting and diverse public scholarship carried out by Carleton’s faculty.
Please contact Debby Walser-Kuntz, Broom Faculty Fellow CCCE, 507-222-5756.
The CCCE and Your Courses
Many courses at Carleton include a service-learning or experiential learning component, and many students have done research in Northfield or nearby (or faraway!) communities. See the Courses & Independent Study section for examples of past and current courses, and ways to get involved.
The CCCE and Your Students
Volunteering with the CCCE can provide great experience for students, and relevant to coursework or their major.
The Center for Community and Civic Engagement has an extensive collection of books about service, Academic Civic Engagement, and the ethics of "town-gown relations." Stop by the CCCE (Sayles 150) and take a look yourself!
