Transportation Options
Within Northfield
Walking
- If the site is close enough it is completely appropriate for students to walk.
Bikes
- Student's own
- ACT Bikes can be reserved at the front desk of Campus Activities, Sayles-Hill 160. This is also where students check them out and get the lock keys.
Cars
- If the student is using their own then nothing more is needed.
- If the student is using a friend's car they will need to fill out and return a waiver to the professor. This is due to liability.
[Download Waiver] - Campus vans are available and can be reserved from fleet services. If the professor needs funding options for transportation it is important to talk to the ACE Coordinator.
Northfield Transit
- Carleton and St. Olaf, with the approval of the Northfield City Council, have arranged for Northfield Transit to provide students with daytime transportation services between the colleges and to other locations within the city limits of the City of Northfield during the academic year. Students must get tokens from Campus Activities to take advantage of Transit.
