Alison’s presentation at conference

Alison M. Kettering, William R. Kenan Jr., Professor of Art History, presented a paper and led a workshop at the quadrennial conference of Historians of Netherlandish Art in Boston, June 5-7, 2014.  The paper was titled “Confronting Rembrandt’s Slaughtered Ox in the Louvre,” and the workshop focused on the meanings and associations of objects in 17th-century Dutch genre paintings.
