Tim Lloyd, Class of 1940 Professor of Art and the Liberal Arts, Emeritus, exhibited recent work in “Metals Alumni Exhibition,” Rochester Institute of Technology Bevier Gallery.  The exhibit was an invitational of alumni who have achieved success and recognition in their field.

Assistant Professor of Art History, presented a paper titled "The New Domestic Landscape: Italian Radical Architecture on American Soil" at the 99th Annual Meeting of the College Art Association in New York City in February. His paper considered the complex relationships between consumer culture, avant-garde architecture, and the museum as an institution as seen in the Museum of Modern Art's landmark 1972 exhibition "Italy: The New Domestic Landscape."

The most recent issue, Volume 3:1, of the Journal of Historians of Netherlandish Art is now available online. Alison Kettering is the Editor-in-chief.

Jeff Rathermel's work was included with several other paper makers at an exhibition entitled "Time on Paper" at the Gage Family Gallery at Augsburg College in St. Paul in early 2011.

Baird Jarman, Associate Professor of Art History, has the cover article in the current issue of the peer-reviewed journal American Periodicals (Volume 20, Number 2, 2010). The article is  titled "The Graphic Art of Thomas Nast: Politics and Propriety in Postbellum Publishing."

Alison Kettering, Kenan Professor of Art History, published a review of Ann Jensen Adams, Public Faces and Private Identities in Seventeenth-Century Holland: Portraiture and the Production of Community, CUP 2009, in caa.reviews.org, the College Art Association's online journal.

Professor of Art History, delivered the Weedon Lecture in Asian Art at the University of Virginia on October 21. The title of her lecture was "The Painter as Knight-Errant: Alternative Artistic Personas in the Late Ming Period (1550-1650)."

David Lefkowitz, Associate Professor of Art, appeared on a segment of TPT's MN Originals which aired October 14. Lefkowitz spoke about his work in an exhibit at the Bloomington Art Center that focused on the impact of human activity on the natural environment.

Alison M. Kettering, William R. Kenan, Jr., Professor of Art History, presented a paper, "Rembrandt's Male Nudes," at the annual conference of the Sixteenth-Century Society, October 16, 2010, in Montreal.
