Alumna Juliane Shibata presented "Ingredients" in Boliou Gallery

Visiting professor Melanie Michailidis presented a lecture in October at St. Olaf entitled "Empty Graves: The Tomb Towers of Northern Iran." She presented the same lecture at UC-Davis later in October.

Juliane Shibata, '01, visiting professor in 2007-08 has work at Baltimore Clayworks.

Empty Bowls day proved to be a huge success in 2007.

During spring break, Baird Jarman led a field trip to look at Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural works.

On May 24, Alison gave a tour of the Dutch galleries at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to the Museum's Paintings Council.

Alison gave a lecture on the Minneapolis Institute of Arts Dutch art collection to the museum's docents on April 30, 2007.

Baird Jarman presented a talk entitled "Inventing a Grail Knight for the Progressive Era:

Edwin Austin Abbey's 'The Castle of the Grail' in the Boston Public Library" to the annual national conference of the PCA/ACA (Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association) in Boston on April 5th.

Baird Jarman chaired a panel entitled "Depolarizing American Modernism:1915-1940" at the annual national conference of the CAA (College Art Association) in New York on February 16th.

David Lefkowitz will present "Tangle" at the Thomas Barry Fine Arts Center located at 530 N. 3rd St. in Minneapolis. The show and runs through April 14.

In March, Minnesota Center for Photography (MCP) presented, with its sister organizations in the Five Centers for Art – the Highpoint Center for Printmaking, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, Northern Clay Center and the Textile Center of Minnesota–a panel which featured five artists who discussed their lives and careers as contemporary women and working artists.
