Calling all rising seniors!
Comps Informational Meeting Today

There will be a comps informational meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, in Olin 04. At that time we’ll discuss the comps options coming up for next year in addition to various deadlines you should be keeping in mind as you plan your senior year. We will also be inviting some current seniors to come and discuss their comps experiences. If you cannot attend this meeting, please stop by or contact me directly. It is especially important that you contact me if one of the following is true: 1) you would like to complete your comps in Fall/Winter; 2) you will be off-campus in the Fall.

Steve Drew, Comps Coordinator 2009-2010

Prize Winners Announced

David Selassie, Kaz Skubi, and Grant Buckingham are the three prize winners who solved the world’s toughest reaction balancing problem. David, Kaz, and Grant will each get the choice of one piece of glassware from my office collection. David solved the problem by linear algebra, and Kaz used the brute force half-reaction method. I think Grant may have done some internet research to solve the problem which is perfectly acceptable. If you’re interested in what the solution was, talk to any three of these fabulous prize winners. Congratulations!

Steve Drew
