Chemistry Picnic
Brats, Burgers, and Big Woods!
If you signed up for the picnic, remember that it’s this Friday, May 21, at Nerstrand Big Woods State Park, starting at about 4:30 p.m. There will be food, drinks, and entertainment. A bus is scheduled to leave from First Street, near the Nevada Street intersection, at 4:30 p.m., and it will return to campus somewhere between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m.

Periodic Table Meets This Week
Periodic Table meets this Thursday in the East Dining Hall “Class of ’51 Dining Room.” We meet at noon in the chemistry hallway and walk over together, or you can join us there. If you are off board, the department will cover your lunch.

SPA seeks candidates for the position of Upper School Science Teacher. This is a full-time, long-term position beginning in late August, 2010. Candidates should be qualified to teach both chemistry and either physics or biology. In addition, candidates should be able to advise students effectively and otherwise contribute to the life of the school outside the classroom. Candidates should support the mission of SPA and the vision of the Upper School. Resumes will be accepted until the position is filled.
