From the Chair
Things in the department will look a little different next year! For those of you returning in the fall, you’ll notice that the Chemistry Department will have undergone some construction and rearrangement over the summer. Be prepared to find faculty in different offices, new research spaces, and a small new common space for your use. Specifically, we will create two new offices out of the lab space adjacent to Dave’s office, and Joe and Chris Calderone, our new biochemist, will move into them. Matt will move into Joe’s current office, and Dani’s research group will move into Matt’s current office. Mudd 185 will be converted back into a full-time research lab, with most of the space being used by Chris and his group. There will be additional common space outside of the two new offices; we hope that you will make good use of it! Maps and trails of breadcrumbs will be provided in the fall, to help you find your way around this new and improved Mudd Hall.
