Yes. Many chemistry majors do this, and we highly encourage it. The best time to go off campus is during fall term of your junior or senior year. But we also have majors who study off campus during their sophomore year. Talk with your academic adviser or a chemistry faculty member about how to plan for off-campus study. You should start your planning as early as possible.
