  • Carleton alumni are a fantastic resource for finding job opportunities. Deb Olien of the Carleton Career Center provides these tips on how to network with alumni.
  • Epic Systems in Madison, WI recruits on campus regularly, and has hired a number of Carleton grads. We received an email recently stating they are very impressed with the quality of our students. Check them out at www.epicsystems.com.
  • EdLab, a research, design and development unit at Teachers College, Columbia University, is looking for programmers. If interested, email Pollyanna Rhee.
  • Bungee Labs sent us a flyer indicating that they are looking for summer interns and full-time employees. Visit their recruiting page for more information.
  • Digital Cyclone in Minnetonka, MN has contacted us regularly indicating interest in hiring Carleton students. Visit their employment page for current hiring information.
  • NetSPI is a computer security company in Minneapolis that has hired a number of Carleton graduates in the past. Visit their career page for current hiring information.
  • Secure Computing is a computer security company in Minneapolis that has hired a considerable number of computer science majors from Carleton. Visit their employment page for current hiring information. Also consider contacting directly Dave Diehl, who is a Carleton grad in a management position there.
  • Google has regularly come to campus indicating that they are interested in hiring full-time people and interns. Visit Google's job page for current hiring information.
  • Corporate Interns regularly advertises entry-level positions for Twin Cities companies. They have contacted us about a number of computing jobs.
  • Fog Creek Software in New York City is looking for summer interns. They pay $750 per week, and that includes free housing, weekday lunches, round-trip airfare, and weekly cultural activities.
  • Carleton alum Alex Feinberg at Care2 tells us that they are looking for web developers to work in the Bay Area. Check out the Care2 recruiting site for more info. Alex says that they are interested as well in people that don't necessarily pigeonhole into the technical positions on the recruiting site, and you should email Alex if you would like more information.
  • Office Zealot of Apple Valley, MN, has come to us in the past looking for a summer intern.

  • Carleton alum Charles Schmidt '97 in the Crypto and IA Research department at the MITRE Corp. has openings for a summer intern an a number of full time workers. Email him directly for more info.
  • Carleton alum Nat Beagley '94 is looking for interns for the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) Statistical Sciences Group. Check out their internship web page for more info.
  • The National Institute for Technology and Liberal Education (NITLE) is sponsors annually an internship in software engineering held at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. The internship provides room, board, and a $2500 stipend.
  • Target Corporation, with headquarters in Minneapolis, is hiring new graduates for their Technology Leadership Program.
  • Intel is hiring for both summer internships and full-time jobs.
