Comps for 2007-08 are finally winding down, but planning is already beginning for next year's seniors. Do you have suggestions for comps projects for next year? Amy Csizmar Dalal (adalal) and Dave Musicant (dmusican) will be advising comps next year, so contact either or both of them if you have ideas that you think would make for good projects. Specific ideas such as "build a face recognition system" tend to be more useful than vague ideas such as "do something with robots," but we're interested in whatever your thoughts are!

Humboldt State University has announced an REU (Research Experience for Undergraduates) site for this summer. Students participating in the program will have a chance to work on "research related to Design in Computer Science and related fields." The application deadline is March 17.
