Credit Suisse

Bryan Kim '06, an analyst in the investment banking/financial institutions division at Credit Suisse in NYC, has made a very generous offer to fellow Carls. He has the opportunity to endorse worthy candidates for internship positions at Credit Suisse through the bank's Recruiting Referral Process.

Bryan thinks Credit Suisse is a very special place to work compared to its peer firms on Wall Street. He reports that he is treated with respect and feels that the firm genuinely cares about analysts' development and career paths -- something rare in most of the investment banking world. He says that there are even some friendly and helpful people!

Bryan also forwarded the following general description of the analyst position:

The Investment Banking business of Credit Suisse operates a leading global
franchise serving institutional, corporate, and government clients.
Investment Banking is comprised of the following departments: Equities,
Fixed Income, Investment Banking, and Alternative Investments. Investment
Banking is dedicated to serving clients, with the support of the new Shared
Services function both at the Bank and division-level, while leveraging the
full business potential of the integrated Credit Suisse. In line with
Credit Suisse's enhanced regional management structure, Investment banking
leadership works in close partnership with the regional CEOs to ensure a
consistent approach on business strategy, clients, human capital, and our
legal and regulatory framework.
