- Frank Shuffelton, Professor Emeritus of English at the University of Rochester, will speak on "Thomas Jefferson, Libraries, and Enlightenment."

Monday, October 12th
- Whose America?: Students Give Voice to Contemporary Native American Poetry on Columbus Day
- Students will read a selection of poetry by contemporary Native American poets, honoring their past, their struggles, and the influence of these poets' voices on America today.

- "From Betty la Fea to Ugly Betty: National Melodramas and Latinas on T.V."
- Please join us for an American Studies Faculty Research talk, as Adriana Estill, Associate Professor of English and American Studies, shares some of her current work.

- A Talk on Shakespeare's Measure for Measure
