Every Carleton academic department has a reception for its graduating majors and their families the day before Commencement. This year's gathering for the English, American Studies, and Media Studies departments was held on Friday, June 11, on first-floor Laird because of threatening weather. Luckily, the rain held off, and everyone flocked to the sidewalk and stairs where many of these photos were taken.
