The ENTS Summer Internship program currently supports one student per summer to work at the Rocky Mountain Institute, an internationally-known and highly respected think-and-do tank located in Snowmass and Boulder, CO, and devoted to pursuing and implementing research-based solutions to our various energy and natural resource challenges. During the summer of 2010, the successful intern will work, under the direction of RMIs senior team, on a major project to research the development of a technically and economically viable low-carbon electric system for the United States with a target implementation date of 2050.

This internship is available to sophomores and juniors with a strong interest in energy and environment-related issues. Core skills that will likely be helpful include facility with basic economic theory and an informed familiarity with energy issues. Excellent quantitative skills are strongly desirable.
