On Thursday, Jan. 19th, English has invited the Schuster lecturer Laura Brown to give a talk on "Non-Human Genres: Love, Paradise, and the Rise of the Animal in English Literature" at 4pm in the Athenaeum.  This talk should appeal to students interested in issues connected to animal rights and human/animal relations.
