Jobs and Internships
Carleton's Career Center offers a wide range of assistance to students looking for information on jobs and internships.
For specific information on opportunities in environmental fields, start with these general resources:
Spotlight on Careers - Environmental Careers offers links to directories, job and internship listings, alumni profiles, descriptions of environmental occupations, and a list of environmental organizations.
Vault Guide to Environmental Careers includes information about career paths and the hiring process in environmental fields. To access this resource, you will need to have a password sent to your Carleton email address. Then you may download an electronic (pdf) version of the guide. No paper necessary!
The Student Conservation Association is a good place to look for internships related to conservation.
Idealist.org also offers listings of jobs and internships related to non-profit and activist groups. You can also sign up to get email updates on opportunities in your geographic area or in your areas of interest.
For more information, contact the friendly folks at the Career Center or in the ENTS program.
