Dear friends, it is with heavy hearts that we are passing on this email from Kate Stalkers husband telling of Kate's death last Thursday. Our prayers and support go out to Kate's family:

Dear friends, it is with heavy hearts that we are passing on this email from Kate Stalkers '05 husband Reid telling of Kate's death last Thursday. Our prayers and support go out to Kate's family:

I am sorry to relay sad news but Kate passed away early this morning. Her disease had increased over the last few weeks and began moving very quickly over the last two days. I was with her through the night and she went very peacefully in her sleep and was comfortable and in good hands at the end. If it seems sudden it is because it is. The cancer had been held to a very steady progression by treatment but it began to flare up recently and has taken her from us.
I've tried to find emails for as many of her friends as I can, but please help me spread the word to anybody you think of who should know. She has been flooded with support since getting the diagnosis and you all need to be thanked for that. Both her and I have been buoyed by all of our friends and family so everybody should take some comfort in that. There are no plans right now for a memorial service, but when one is organized you will all be in the loop. Thank you again for everything you have done for us and for being a part of her life (and of mine).
