Karen Campbell '79 admitted to hospital

I'm sorry to pass on the news that Karen Campbell, a friend to many of us, suffered a serious stroke last Thursday while on vacation near Ely, MN. She was treated locally and then flown to Duluth, where she has been in intensive care at St. Mary's hospital. There is a CaringBridge site (http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/KarenMCampbell) where you can find more information and post messages to Karen. She is partly responsive while on a ventilator and strong sedation, and one side of her body is paralyzed at this time. She is likely to remain hospitalized in Duluth for a few weeks. Karen is receiving strong support, especially from her community of friends. Please pass this on to anyone you think would like to know about this.
