Geology 100 at McKnight Prairie
We strike out across the prairie... McKnight Prairie is a 33 acre plot of land owned by Carleton about seven miles north of campus. The hilltops of McKnight were never extensively disturbed and they remain intact native ecosystems with diverse assemblages of prairie species. We are here to look at the soil development on different parts of the hillslopes.
