Remembering Ted Mullin, '06We are very pleased to announce the recent establishment of the Edward H. "Ted" Mullin '06 Prize in History at Carleton College by his family, the History department, friends, and classmates. Ted entered Carleton with the Class of 2006 and was deeply committed to his life at Carleton, both as a history major and as a three-year letter winner on the men's swim team. While at Carleton, Ted also co-captained two teams for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Sadly, Ted lost his battle with cancer, passing away September 3, 2006. The Edward H. "Ted" Mullin '06 Prize in History will be awarded annually to the junior history major who best exemplifies Ted's love of history, academic excellence and/or athletic passion, curiosity, drive to excel, integrity, selflessness, generosity, religious and/or interest in the role/influence of religion and ethics in history, tolerance, and good humor. It is to be used to support travel and/or research opportunities that enhance the recipient's academic or broader learning journey of discovery. We invite you to contribute to the Edward H. "Ted" Mullin '06 Prize fund, on-line, by phone, or by mail: http://apps.carleton.edu/alumni/aaf/how/. Please indicate any amount and designate in the "Additional Instructions" box at the bottom of the on-line form that your gift is for the Edward H. "Ted" Mullin Prize in History, separate from your usual Alumni Annual Fund contribution. Please know that because it is a separate fund, it is not included in your class giving total. If you have photographs, newsclippings, or other items you would like to share with Ted's family, please send them to Nikki Lamberty, History Department Office, Leighton 210, Carleton College, One North College Street, Northfield, MN 55057.
