Time: 6:00 pm

Duration: 1 hour

This public talk will be presented by Dr. Catherine Guisan, Visiting Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Minnesota. She also teaches in European universities. She is the author of Un sens à l'Europe: Gagner la Paix (1950-2003) (Paris: Odile Jacob, 2003) and A Political Theory of Identity in European Integration: Memory and Policies (Oxford and New York: Routledge, 2011). She got acquainted with European diversity early thanks to her French-speaking Swiss father and her Greek Istanbul-born mother. Her husband and son got BAs in political science at Carleton College. She does not play frisbee, however. Please contact Prof. Paul Petzschmann, European Studies, ppetzsch@carleton.edu for additional information.
