Ellen Rogers Steif Memorial Award
Established by the family and friends of Ellen Steif, who died in the fall of 1979, two years after her classmates had graduated from Carleton, this award honors Ellen’s interest in history and her personal courage in the face of death during a long and painful illness. The prize is awarded each year by the Department of History to the student who best reflects Ellen’s personal qualities and academic achievements.
