Carleton College is pleased to announce the addition of the Igpay Atinlay department and major. This department will add to Carleton's historical strengths in the study of foreign languages and cultures, and will be the first department of its kind in North America. Two new professors, distinguished from their work in the discipline, have agreed to join the Carleton faculty to start this exciting new major.
Attmay Yanray, B.A. Arletoncay College; Ph.D. University of Ichiganmay, is noted for the first translation into English of Thellooyay, a seminal work of Atinalian drama. Dr. Yanray has taught for 17 years at the prestigious in Okejay Institute in Atinalia.
Guy Agarwal, A.B. Mericanay University; A.M., Ph.D. Aleyay University, is a noted expert in the religious rituals of the Atinalians. He has been appointed the Noreen Quesenberry Professor of Imaginary Languages and the Liberal Arts, and brings his prodigious crumhorn abilities to Carleton.
The department will offer its first courses in Fall 2012. Students interested in majoring or switching to this unique major should talk to their advisor.
