Satellite Programming

Satellite TV through the Language Center

The Language Center offers a wide variety of international programming via satellite dish. This programming can be reached through any classroom or faculty office in the LDC or can be watched in the Language Center itself.

Watching Satellite TV in the LDC

  1. Go to a room with a satellite hookup and a TV.
  2. Change the channel to the Carleton internal channel of the station (should be a two digit number, numbers found on the Language Resources page of the Language Center Website). In classrooms in the LDC, you can choose the channel through the touch screen display. First go to Satellite Programming, then select the channel you wish to watch.
  3. Make sure the VCR is turned on. (Satellite Programming is routed through the VCR)

Recording Content from Satellite
