James Myers '88
James Myers received his PhD from the Department of Linguistics at the University of Arizona in 1993, following Mike's wise advice. After the usual bit of academic vagabonding, he (James) ended up in the Graduate Institute of Linguistics at National Chung Cheng University, in Taiwan, in 1997, and he has no plans to leave. His research is vaguely organized around the role of the lexicon in language processing, particularly in phonology and morphology. He works primarily with languages that he can hardly speak, including Mandarin, Taiwan Southern Min, and Taiwan Sign Language.
