Judy Bauer

I graduated in '98, and right now I'm in the Linguistics Ph.D. program at Rutgers University. I did my first qualifying paper on Anti-Faithfulness in secret languages (Optimality Theory), and my second on computational approaches to bridging anaphora ("A captain... the ship"). Right now for my dissertation I'm looking at the semantics of reference in American Sign Language. (I have to credit Mike Flynn's deafness and Deaf Culture course for that.)
