Guest Artist Concert: Departure Point with Lucia Newell
Guest Artist Concert Pete Whitman, saxophones Dave Jensen, trumpet, Jeff Rinear, trombone, Laura Caviani, piano Gordy Johnson, bass Phil Hey, drums Lucia Newell, vocals. The Sextet Departure Point and special guest vocalist Lucia Newell will be performing compelling straight ahead jazz in the tradition of Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers. Repertoire will include originalsby the band as well as arrangements of classic compositions by Billy Strayhorn.
