Guest Artist Concert: Lisa Moore, piano
Ferociously talented Australian pianist Lisa Moore, crowned “New York’s queen of avantgarde piano” (New Yorker magazine), has been dazzling audiences for 30 years. Moore’s performances are known for their musical power and their entertaining, dramatic intensity. As founding pianist for the Bang on the Can All Stars, Moore has released four solo CDs and more than 30 collaborative discs, and has enjoyed international success as one of today’s foremost contemporary pianists. She presents a concert of new solo piano music and teams up with her former student and Carleton faculty member Matthew McCright for works for piano duo.
