Fee Waiver for Music Lessons

In support of its belief that applied music study in voice or an instrument is an important part of the music major's experience and to remove the financial burden of meeting the applied music requirement, the applied lesson fee for up to four credits of applied study per term during the Junior and Senior years will be waived. For music majors in the composition track, who are required to take composition lessons, those credits will count toward the four credits that are waived.  Credits taken through the Bailey Scholar program count toward the four credits that will be waived.  Students who wish to take additional lessons may do so at their own expense, but are urged to consult with their academic adviser before doing so.

Majors who late drop or receive an F or NC in applied music (with the exception of late drops for medical reasons) will lose the fee waiver for the remainder of their time at Carleton.
