Dates and Fees

PROGRAM DATES

The program will take place during the winter of 2011, and will roughly correspond to the Carleton term. Specific dates will be announced later.

EXPENSES

The cost of tuition, room, board, and most internal travel within Australia and New Zealand will be covered by the 2010-2011 comprehensive fee. In addition to the airfare, students are responsible for the purchase of books and some art supplies; a significant quantity of art supplies will be provided as a part of the program. At two points in the program, a snorkel, mask, fins, and possibly a wet suit will be required; students will be assisted in borrowing, renting, or buying this equipment at low cost. SCUBA divers will incur additional expenses.

Student financial aid is applicable as on campus. Visit Off-Campus Studies for further information regarding work-study contracts, loans, and other subjects on financial aid.

TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Students are responsible for the cost of round trip transportation from the U.S. on an international ticket, which should also provide the links between the Cook Islands and New Zealand, between New Zealand and Australia, and between Melbourne and Brisbane. The College will assist in making group flight arrangements.
