Phil 243 students to give class at Just Foods Coop
November 7, 2012Students in Professor Jansen's Philosophy 243 class Animal Ethics: The Moral Status of Animals, will give a class on the humane treatment of farm animals at Just Foods in Northfield. Having visited local farms, interviewed local farmers and taken an animal ethics course, Carleton students will present their proposals and invite discussion on what stance and guidelines The Real Food Challenge should adopt with regard to meat and, in particular, the treatment of farm animals.
