- Carleton Project 60 Developing Civic Leaders Program: Two paid summer internships This project grew out of a community service panel held at the Class of 1960's 45th Reunion in June of 2005. After hearing classmates talk about the challenges and rewards of making a difference through their work with nonprofits, the group decided to introduce this opportunity to today’s Carleton undergraduates. They do this by identifying nonprofit summer internships in their communities and acting as mentors to those students chosen for the positions.
Carleton freshmen, sophomores, juniors work full-time for 8-12 weeks during the summer. Host organizations will provide a stipend of $300 per week to each Intern.
