Macalester-Carleton Conference well attended
April 16th, 2007
The first Macalester-Carleton political science conference for students on April 4 attracted 45-80 students for each of the four sessions. Students from each school presented papers in several general fields, and faculty from both schools were discussants:
- Ideology, Mobilization and Democracy in Latin America
- Public Policy, Urban Governance and Community Power in the U.S.
- Democratic Institutions in Comparative Perspective
- Migration, Rights, and Participation: Perspectives on Contemporary Identity Politics
The Carleton College students who presented were Aditi Krishna, Wayne Soon, Mikaela Hagen, Jonah Khandros, Martha Thomsen and Noah Brennan. Click here to see the entire program and read the papers.
