Duties include:
- Arriving at 4:30am to begini workflow organization tasks; departure typically before 1pm,
- Primary responsibility for receiving, organizing, prioritizing, and distributing these cases for pathologists;
"organizing" will often include identifying and printing specific clinical information from patients' charts', - Maintaining a detailed formal job description,
- Cross-training the other Pathology Aides in performing the Workflow Coordinator function during absences,
and in turn cross-training to do their functions when needed - Other duties as needed by pathologists.
Prerequisites and Skills:
- 4-year undergraduate degree in pre-medical studies with stated intention of applying to medical school
- Fluent with basic computer and keyboarding skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
- High level of enthusiasm and client-service orientation
- Ability to multi-task during periods of workload.
