Latin American Studies
The program offers both a major and a concentration.
Tenured and tenure-track professors in our department serve in a variety of ways the program as directors of the program, teaching core courses and the gateway to the program, teaching the capstone concentration course, advising students’ comprehensive exercise, organizing the annual Foro Latinoamericano, organizing visits and talks by scholars every term, and participating in all social and academic events for faculty and students in the program.
Professor Silvia L. López, co-directs with Professor Alfred Montero the two-term research seminar on Brazil, which includes a winter-break research stay in Brazil.
European Studies
The College offers a concentration in European Studies and all Peninsular literature courses offered are eligible for the concentration.
Other Interdisciplinary Programs
We also teach courses that contribute to the elective offerings in ENTS, CAMS, Theater, Women and Gender Studies programs.
