Description

The American Sublime Collection contains images from the slide collection of Professor Elizabeth McKinsey who teaches in the English and American Studies department. This collection supports the teaching of nineteenth and twentieth century American art, literature and culture and contains images of oil paintings, drawings, photographs, maps, images of popular culture and architecture. Prominently featured are American landscapes, including the works of Thomas Cole and Frederic Church.
