Artists’ Books Collection

Browse the collection

Description

This Collection features examples of artists' books from the past several decades. Artists' Books are items that are important for their form and how that form contributes to content. In that way, they challenge students to think about art, books, and the act of reading in new ways. They are most often small editions and are produced with great attention to paper, illustration, and structure. The Collection strives to provide examples of books that represent a variety of printing techniques, illustration methods, binding styles, and interesting formats. In addition, the Collection includes the work of several artists either associated with Carleton or of local interest.
