Infectious Disease Updates
August 15, 2014 - Carleton College is monitoring the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) information regarding the Ebola virus outbreak in West Africa. At this time, the College is unaware of any students, faculty or staff members who have traveled or plan to travel to the impacted area.
On July 31, the CDC issued a Level 3 travel warning for the countries of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. This warning is a reflection of the worsening Ebola outbreak in the region and the severity of the illness.
Members of the College community are strongly encouraged to heed the CDC and U.S. State Department’s cautions regarding travel in this region. Read more…
