Carleton College will host a regional DVD Fest at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the Carleton Concert Hall. Organized by Carleton senior Reed Martin, the festival will feature the viewing and judging of the top two- to five-minute DVD short movies from each of nine colleges in the region.

The Carleton DVD Fest 2003 was featured in the March 18 Web news releases of MacCentral and The Mac Observer. Over 75 percent of Carleton students participated in the event with almost 40 teams contributing entries. The finalists can be viewed at http://www.dvdfest.org.

Barrie Osborne, executive producer of the Oscar-winning film "The Matrix" and a 1966 graduate of Carleton College, will host a pre-release screening of his film "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at the State Theatre in Minneapolis.
