Bilen Gaga '03 - moving to Minnesota
Andrew Garrett '90 - I just returned from 2 weeks as a Medical Officer (Supervisory) with the Massachusetts-2 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT). We were stationed at the New Orleans Airport, and the situation improved slowly over the past week after a truly overwhelming and disheartening start. Our team, and countless other civilian and military groups and agencies, have been providing nonstop efforts in the region to provide both medical care and move massive numbers of people out of the areato safety.

Catherine Lemann '74 - safely evacuated

(William) David McGee '97 - My wife and I lived in New Orleans and got out safely well before the
hurricane. Our house was flooded, but we're fine. We're both spending the semester working and studying at Columbia University in New York.
Steve Morgan '91 - Houston, TX
Max Mueller '03 - Lafayette, LA "I'm fine and was never in danger. I teach at a rural episcopal high school (Episcopal of Acadiana) and ... our school community and the community at large have been on the front line of relief efforts. Lafayette, a city of about 180,000 ... has swelled by about 40,000 evacuees, the fortunate ones staying with family, the less staying in the Cajundome and other shelters. It was an awesome experience to serve Gumbo to 3,000 people who hadn't eaten a hot meal in 5 days. Our school is also welcoming about 50+ students from the private schools in New Orleans... Please let Carleton community know that we in Louisiana are going to get through this but we will need help."
Brian Page '05 - Pennsylvania
Danny Patterson '78 - Mobile, AL - family, home okay. Click here to learn about Danny's efforts to help people in the area.
