Benjamin Somogyi moved halfway across America to attend Carleton. But that was just the first of many journeys for Ben, now a senior History major. His travels have taken him from Israel to Italy to the tiny West African nation of São Tomé e Principe.

Watch the video to hear Ben talk about his adventures on and off campus.

Ebuka Amaefuna '12 loves being a biology major, but some of his favorite experiments at Carleton happen outside the laboratory. Trying rugby for the first time. Auditioning for the Singing Knights. Helping his friends make a movie in their dorm.

Watch the video to hear how Ebuka makes the most of his life at Carleton, in and out of the classroom.

Noise Cinema is a Carleton band featuring Max Berlin ('13 Undecided), Keagon
Voyce ('12 Music), Sam Scherf ('11 Cinema & Media Studies), Jon Jacobs ('10
Music), and Ezra Velazquez ('10 Computer Science, Cinema & Media Studies).

As the school year comes to an end, and the two oldest band members approach
graduation, the band sings about all the good things that happened to them
at Carleton and looks optimistically toward the future in a special song
written for the occasion, "Trajectory."

Kelsea Dombrovski '11 doesn't live in a Carleton bubble.

Whether she's volunteering in Northfield or applying her Environmental Studies major to real-world problems, Kelsea loves finding ways to take her Carleton experience into the wider world.

Watch the video and hear Kelsea talk about getting involved on campus and beyond.

The Alexander Sisters, Part III: Academics

There are as many ways to experience Carleton as there are students. Just ask the three Alexander sisters.

In their third and final video interview, Becky, Kate, and Maggie Alexander talk about how each sister has followed her academic curiosity to new and different places at Carleton.

See their previous videos here: Video I | Video II

The Alexanders: Sister Act II

You might expect college to separate a trio of sisters, even in a family as close as the Alexanders. But attending Carleton together has only served to strengthen the bonds between these siblings in three different Carleton class years: Becky Alexander '09, Kate Alexander 10, and Maggie Alexander '12.

Watch this second installment of the Alexanders' story as they talk about their Carleton experience as sisters, swimming teammates, and friends. You'll find the first installment here.

So is Carleton.

Watch the video and meet Kate, Becky, and Maggie Alexander: sisters, swimming champions, and Carleton College students.

Ezra Velazquez '10 Video: DVD Fest

Nothing livens up a cold, dark Minnesota winter quite like the bright spark of Carleton creativity. Just ask Ezra Velazquez ’10, who recently teamed up with friends to compete in DVD Fest, the most anticipated student event of the term.

Watch the online video to hear Ezra talk about film, friendship, and letting your artistic side out to play.

Emily Ruff '09 Video: Thermodynamics and Magic

You know you're at Carleton when you dress up as an "organized crystal" for thermodynamics class...and all your classmates get the joke.

Emily Ruff '09 will go to great lengths to get a laugh (and some extra credit). Hear Emily talk about nerd humor, "magical" comps, and personal growth at Carleton in her online video.

Two things you can always count on at Carleton: learning till your brain hurts and laughing till your sides ache.

Just ask Emily Ruff ’09, who unwinds from brain-bending classes like Chemical Thermodynamics by hamming it up as an improv comedian.

Hear Emily talk about comedy, chemistry and Carleton in her online video.
