Campus Climate Survey

Friday, June 6, 2008

Dear campus community,

On behalf of the DIG subcommittee for the Campus Climate Survey, I write to thank all of you who helped with this project. During the month of April nearly 1500 individuals completed the survey! The results, including the narrative text, will be analyzed by Rankin & Associates over the summer months.

In the fall Sue Rankin will be here to talk with us about the results. To that end, we have planned a special common time all-campus presentation on Thursday, September 25th and we hope all of you will plan to attend (more details will be available at a later date).

Following the presentation and throughout the fall term discussion groups for students, faculty and staff will be organized. The purpose of these discussion groups will be to make meaning of the survey results and to provide recommendations to the College for addressing our shortcomings and celebrating our strengths.

In closing, thanks again for all the attention to and help with this project. If you have any comments or questions please feel free to contact me. And, on behalf of the DIG subcommittee for the Campus Climate Survey, I wish you all a wonderful summer.

Sincerely,

Joe Baggot
Associate Dean of Students
