FAQ

This is a new, searchable FAQ section to help you find exactly what you are looking for in regards to foreign language technology.

What is CAN8?

CAN8 is a replacement to the analog language lab (all those old cassette decks that used to be in LDC 241). It is a totally digital system, that can incorporate audio, video, text and still images. If you are taking a beginning language, you will likely need to use the system at least a little bit.

Currently it is only available from computers in LDC 241 or 243.

To find out more about CAN8 for students, see my Student Guide. Faculty should refer to the Faculty Guide to CAN8.
