Mulberry

Installation (Windows)

Installing and configuring Mulberry for your home computer is relatively simple. Follow these instructions and you should be good to go!

  1. Download Mulberry for Faculty (you will need to use your Carleton username and password to download).
  2. Open the folder and Double click the Mulberry_V4_0_3.exe installer icon.
  3. After the installation is complete, you should be able to find Mulberry in your Programs menu. It is already preconfigured to login to Carleton's email servers.
  4. Go to File > Preferences to set your email signature or configure a mailbox to copy your outgoing messages.

Notes

If you are using Mulberry from off campus, you will need to make a slight change to the SMTP outgoing mail server settings in order to send mail. The easiest way to do this is to do the following:
  1. In Mulberry, go to File > Preferences
  2. Click on the Advanced button just below OK and Cancel buttons on the right
  3. You should already be seeing the Accounts tab (click it if you are not)
  4. Where it says Account: IMAP, open this pull-down menu and choose SMTP
  5. A little lower on this screen, you should see:Server: smtp.carleton.edu. In this box, change it so that it says: Server: smtp.carleton.edu:587
  6. Click OK
