John Peña, a young Pittsburgh multimedia artist, makes one drawing a day to highlight a memorable if unremarkable moment or experience. Aiming to dramatize links between humans and nature, the artist invokes geology in this two-year autographical project. With Daily Geology, the artist defines his life as a slow accretion of experience; he offers small pencil drawings full of family dynamics, random encounters, personal hungers, and longings, to gradually tell the big story of a life.
