As the name implies, the mission of the Perlman Teaching Museum is not only to exhibit art, but also to educate and encourage scholarly inquiry. 

Educational activities and services of the Museum include:

  • Public lectures and performances (see our Events Calendar)
  • Sponsorship of visiting artists
  • Guided exploration of objects from the Carleton art collection in the Museum classroom
  • Assistance to faculty who wish to use works of art in their teaching or research
  • Mentorship of student curators organizing the annual junior and senior art shows
  • Outreach to local and regional arts organizations
  • A series of publications
  • Searchable online collection catalog (coming soon)

  • Mon-Wed: 11am to 6pm
  • Thu-Fri: 11am to 9pm
  • Sat-Sun: noon to 4pm

Open during academic terms, including Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Presidents' Day & Memorial Day; closed for breaks & summer.
