Joseye Tienro, a graduate of the National Institute of Arts, began his career as a street photographer before setting up a studio in Bamako's Djicoroni- Para neighborhood in 1989. Currently employed at the National Museum in Bamako as a photographer and videographer, he is in the process of digitizing the museum's collection. Tienro exhibited in the 2001 and 2005 Bamako Biennales, offering Les oubliés de la médaille (Forgotten heroes) series in 2005.

Diplômé de l’Institut National des Arts, Joseye Tienro a entamé sa carrière comme photographe de rue avant d’ouvrir son studio dans le quartier de Djicoroni-Para à Bamako en 1989. Employé présentement au Musée National à Bamako comme photographe et vidéaste, il est attelé à la numérisation de la collection du Musée. Tienro a exposé lors des Biennales de 2001 et 2005, avec une série intitulée Les Oubliés de la Médaille en 2005.
