Seeing is Knowing features Special Collections material from both Carleton's Gould Library and the James Ford Bell Library at the University of Minnesota. Both Collections feature rare books, maps, and manuscripts on various subjects. For this exhibition, the curator sought to incorporate historical examples from the dawn of modern astronomy (ca. 1600) up through the late nineteenth century.
